Caregiver Support Coordinator
The Caregiver Support program is for Veterans who were injured in the line of duty after 9/11/2001 and have a family member who lives with them and assists them with daily living activities. Injuries include traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, PTSD, other mental disorders, vision impairment, other injuries (i.e. nerve injuries, multiple fractures, and amputations), and other illnesses (i.e. diabetes, cancer, stroke, COPD, arthritis). It pays a stipend to the family member dependent on the amount of assistance the caregiver provides.
